To commemorate World Mental Health Day 2021, PPIS is calling on the community to join hands with us to raise awareness of mental health, and celebrate the strength and resilience of women who RecovHER and are on their journey to mental wellness.
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the lifestyles and livelihoods of many, including our women who are juggling multiple roles as wife, mother, daughter and career woman. The multitude of challenges can definitely take a toll on any woman’s mental well-being. Hence, the need for mental health and psycho-social support will continue to increase over the coming months and years. According to the Singapore Mental Health Study (SMHS) 2016, one in seven adults have experienced a mental health condition in their lifetime. More than three-quarter of those with a mental health condition did not seek any professional help.
The second iteration of our campaign, #SayangMyMind, aims to connect women with tips and resources to get them started and support their journey to mental wellness.

Strength Through Sharing
As a single mum with three young kids, the pandemic has definitely taken a toll on my mental wellness. Thankfully, with the help of my counsellor, I feel less alone in facing my challenges. I am a firm believer that admitting you need help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Everyone needs help sometimes.
