Women play important roles in our society. As they strive to achieve their aspirations and careers, while caring for their families – we need to advocate for women empowerment so that they will lead fulfilling lives.
PPIS, a women association in Singapore, aims to support women empowerment through the various programmes and services we are offering in our organisation. In line with our goals as a women association, we also aim to empower children and families through child care support and counselling services. With these efforts, we hope to make Singapore a better ground for gender equality.
As a family support specialist, we help build resilient families towards a cohesive Muslim community.
A second home where parents can go to work with a peace of mind, knowing their child is in a safe, caring and loving environment.
We collaborate with key stakeholders to nurture our children into passionate learners and competent leaders of character.

I still have my handwritten notes from the baking lessons at PPIS As-Salaam. The notes were my treasure trove and kept close to me as my few sources of income years ago, but now, the same notes have become my way of spreading love to those around me.

Our counsellor was very helpful and raised up a lot of concerns pertaining to our marriage issues.
While there are ups and downs, I always say we can overcome them, as Allah tests us because He loves us. That is our starting point. With every challenge that we encounter, we become stronger and more resilient. Vista Sakinah has given us a lot of support, and we have gone through courses, workshops and activities, receiving assistance from asatizahs, social workers, and peers. From there, we learned to overcome the challenges as a family.
The first time I attended a forum for stepfamilies organised by Vista Sakinah, I asked my husband, “Why do we have to attend this forum?” But the forum opened our eyes to other stepfamilies and made us realise that we were not alone in our journey in building our stepfamily life. Through Vista Sakinah and the programmes that they offer, we are always reminded that we are much stronger than we thought we were.
“I appreciate the holistic programmes offered by 7oaks Student Care - Jurong. They do not only focus on academic, but also the character development of our children.”
“The support I received from Family Service Centre (East) has helped me to improve my current situation and provide the best care for my children."
“As a member of PPIS, I have witnessed how PPIS has grown over the years. The organisation is always looking for ways to enhance its support for not only women, but also children and families. I am heartened to offer my continued support in the years to come.”
