Aidaroyani Adam

CEO

(Appointed on 1 August 2024) 

Aidaroyani Adam has over 26 years of experience in education and community development. She spent several years at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP) at NIE/NTU. She was the Deputy CEO of Yayasan MENDAKI since 2018 and has held various roles spanning research, planning, education and community engagement. She is the Ngee Ann Kongsi Community Fellow 2023 under the LKYSPPA-IPS, NUS. As the CEO of PPIS, she believes in the empowerment of women that are vital to the well-being and progress of families and societies.

Mohamad Effendi Basri

SENIOR DIRECTOR, FINANCE

(Appointed on 1 October 2019) 

Effendi has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, audit and taxation covering a statutory board, fund management, manufacturing and construction sectors. He was tasked with governance, internal controls and statutory compliance of a few listed companies and was involved in many ERP systems implementation projects in the region. He was a consultant on two World Bank projects in the Philippines, which dealt with displaced communities and families in a post-conflict situation. He is a Chartered Accountant (Singapore) and graduated from NTU with a Bachelor in Accountancy. He first served as a volunteer with PPIS in early 2019 as a member of the Finance and Investment Advisory Committee. He later joined PPIS as a Senior Finance Director on 1 October 2019.

Azita Abdul Aziz

SENIOR DIRECTOR, SOCIAL SERVICES

(Appointed in 2011) 

Azita started at PPIS in 1991 as a social worker and progressed to become a senior social worker, manager, director, and currently serves as the Senior Director. In her role, she oversees PPIS family services that cater to various vulnerable groups, including minors and young couples, single parents, divorced families, stepfamilies, foster families, and families facing multiple problems and complexities.

Wong Wai Meng

DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCE

(Appointed on 15 December 2022) 

Wai Meng joined PPIS as the Director of Human Resource & Organisation Development. In his role, he is responsible for driving the people agenda and enhancing the capabilities of PPIS. Prior to joining PPIS, Wai Meng served as the Head of HR and Capability Development at a growing SME for approximately ten years. In that position, he oversaw the people function and development of the Singapore headquarters and subsidiaries in other Asian countries. Wai Meng has nearly twenty years of experience in various capacities in the public sector, including SME development, association capability development, international relations, board secretariat and governance, technical marketing, productivity promotion, and business excellence. He is also a certified HR professional with an IHRP-SP certification.

Sabrena Abdullah

DEPUTY DIRECTOR, RDU & SCC

(Appointed on 14 August 2024) 

Sabrena is currently serving PPIS as Deputy Director in Research Development and Student Care Centres.

 

She was a former Head of Department and Team Lead for the Research & Design Department and the Education Department in Mendaki. Throughout her career, she has led several roles in the field of Youth Development, Communications , Human Resource and Clinical Counselling. Sabrena is also currently represented in board directorships with the Ministry of Education Spectra School and Muis Mosque Management Board.

Sabariah Aris

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, RED

(Appointed on 1 October 2021) 

Sabariah is the Assistant Director of PPIS’ Research and Engagement Department (RED); established in 2017 to represent Muslim Women’s voice and advance aspirations. She also oversees the RED Space; a one-stop support for women’s career, legal and wellness needs. With over two decades of professional experience, Sabariah brings with her a wealth of expertise in internal & external communications, public affairs, events and project management including stints at the People’s Association, Land Transport Authority, National University Hospital, A*STAR, Workforce Singapore, and SkillsFuture Singapore. 

Thariq Aziz Abdul Hamid

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ITFM

(Appointed on 1 April 2023) 

Thariq brings a wealth of experience in the IT field, spanning over 15 years, with diverse roles that have encompassed supporting end users to managing multi-million-dollar projects. He has previously worked in both multinational corporations (MNCs) and government-linked companies (GLCs). Currently, Thariq leads the PPIS IT, procurement, and facilities department.
